Why do the taxes on my expenses look wrong?

You created an expense and set a tax on it.

However, you do not see that the tax is included in the expense amount.

This is because the amount set in the expense is expected to include taxes, unlike invoices and estimates. Servicejoy automatically calculates the taxes based on the amount. In the example above, the 10.00 USD amount includes taxes. Taxes paid on expenses are included in the “Tax Summary” report in Reports.

Therefore when you enter an expense amount, enter the full amount including taxes.
